Biobloc treatment

Biobloc treatment to achieve 20 to 30mm of forward growth.

Biobloc treatment aims to aims to achieve 20 to 30 millimetres of forward growth measured at Gnathion in children and young adults, depending on their age and severity. This should prevent Sleep Apnoea, TMJ. And many ENT problems. It will also provide room for all 32 teeth and create an attractive face. Treatment involves a sequence of several appliances, initially correcting the Indicator Line (the forward position of the maxilla) and enlarging the maxilla to providing room for the tongue. The mandible is then postured forward with the Stage 3 to correct the created over jet and the patient is taught to correct their subconscious oral posture. Conventional orthodontic research suggests that it is impossible to achieve more than 2 or 3 millimetres of forward growth, however. Biobloc can achieve enough forward growth to avoid almost all orthognathic surgery up to the age of 20 and beyond.
